Kai 15 cm Nagare Pairing knife is between a peeling knife and a chef's knife, but its blade is narrower and straight. It is ideal for a variety of small jobs where more precise cuts of small vegetables and fruits are needed. It can also be used like a large peeling knife, or because of its size, as an alternative to the chef's or carving knife, for meat or fish. Its very slightly curved blade allows it to work vertically on the workbench. So, it is skilled enough to peel an onion and then cut it bobbed.

KAI Shun Nagare blade draws attention directly. On the glossy blade are the elaborate decorations of Damascus layers. It consists of two different alloys, a flexible VG2 stainless steel and a harder VG10-steel, which are folded in 72 layers, 36 on each side.
The complexity of the two metal folding results in a knife with excellent cutting ability of dual core at 61 HRC.
The angle operates at 16 °, with an extra invisible micro bevel at its tip.
The handle is ergonomically designed with a snake shape and a small curve in the center and fits perfectly in the hand.
